I may not be a smart man, but I know what love is – Forrest Gump.
A couple of days ago, I posted a Valentine’s Day gift guide for her with a lot of different ideas and inspiration on what to buy for your female loved ones – or for yourself! Now it’s the men’s turn. I have to say, I’m struggling to think of a present for my other half this Valentine’s Day because I need to save money and his birthday is soon. I’m hoping this gift guide will inspire me as it (hopefully) will do for you.
Again, if you’re single, it doesn’t mean that you can’t celebrate. By buying a close friend, your dad, or even your brother, a small gift will show that you love them and appreciate them.

Fragrance is the number one present that we buy during the Christmas period; I wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t the same for Valentine’s Day too. It’s a luxurious and sensual gift for Valentine’s Day, especially the latest men’s fragrance in Dior, Sauvage, a woody and fresh scent with patchouli leaves.
Men can never have enough underwear especially the likes of classic Calvin Klein briefs which are very hot right now in the fashion world.
If your man loves his music on the commute to work, spoil him with a pair of Dr Dre Beats. There are a variety of colours and he won’t ever be able to say that he can’t find them on the way out of the door in the morning.
Clothes are a safe bet if you know his size and style. He can never have too many t-shirts or hoodies and he’ll appreciate the fact that he doesn’t have to buy them himself.
Skincare isn’t just for women. These days, men want to look just as groomed as their female company. Treat him to some with a good brand that will work for them – as long as he doesn’t hog the bathroom mirror!
Combine the following attributes: book lover and technology. Splurge on a kindle; he’ll appreciate the though and will be glad of a new tech toy.
Cufflinks can be a little bit more expensive. However, these days you can get them engraved, have their favourite football team badge as its image and much more for a classy gift.
If you’re stuck for ideas, or only want to spend a minimal amount, get a keyring made with a photo of the two of you. It’s thoughtful, can be on their person at all times and doesn’t break the bank.
For something a little bit different to candles, buy him an air freshener stick – something woody, peppery and masculine perhaps – to fill his humble abode. A perfect addition to the relaxing home.
A special gift may be a piece of jewellery, whether it is a watch, ring, or a rope bracelet similar to this Pandora one. They have been popular for men for the past few years so would make your man’s day.
A sports bag is a great gift for all the male gym bunnies out there. It’s another excuse for them to use their gym membership more and the bag can be doubled as a travel bag for weekend trips too.
Are you inspired to buy a Valentine’s gift for him?
Love, Faye x
